Weather/Newspaper/Watercolor

Lotus Blossom Festival cancelled again, since Lotus flowers not growing on Echo Park Lake again this year.
I love lifeguard towers pushed back toward banks for the winter. Salt Creek Beach in Orange Co.

I was thinking about your new series of paintings from newspaper stories and wondered how the dying of so many newspapers might affect your series. We barely even have a paper here in SF. The Chronicle is pathetic and gets skinnier every day. I hope your LA paper will last long enough for you to do your series. I love the idea! (And these little paintings!

  7. Yeah, Jana, the LA Times is getting thinner too. They did get rid of the California section where the weather report was, but at least it's still tacked on to the business section. Problem is lack of time right now for me to paint with a real paintbrush. Hope to get in studio soon! thanks for the support!
