My favorite of these is the third one which I titled "Nicole cold" since the heater wasn't working and our model was freezing. Stabilo and watercolor on animation paper.
I love all of these - butthe color really makes 'Nicole Cold' jum off the page - and you can feel that cold! I always admire your life drawings and think of you whenever it seems that 5 minutes just isn't long enough! someday I'll be able to draw the way you do (I have to believe that).
Thank you all for your comments. I really appreciate them. Thank you for checking in with my blog. Hopefully soon, I can post some of the paid work I've been painting.
I love "Nicole Cold" too --- but they all are wonderful.

My favourite is the third one, too. The lines are so well done, so securely put on the paper...really god!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely. You're really hitting your stride with these recent figure drawings.
ReplyDeleteThese are so very good. The flow of the lines, you get the sense of the quickness of the pose.

I think the last is my favorite. The modeling of her form is wonderful--so 3-D and yet such wonderfully expressive lines too.

ReplyDeleteJust found these via Katherine at Making a Mark. A beautiful group of fig drawings. I like the way they only partially emerge from the background.
