Thank you all for your comments and support. I had a good drawing day and love the Friday drawing group of people at Disney. Plus, I love the fact that I can still sneak in there and draw. A Stabilo Aquarellable is a great pencil made to work on paper, glass, plastic and metal. Most people use it on glass. It's waxy and very dark. I use a tissue and a brush with water to get the wash on my drawings. I brought a group of kids another version of this pencil that is less waxy and more graphite-like and every single one of their drawings were fantastic. I highly recommend either pencil!
These are fantastic! Not just well-rendered figures, but artfully sublime. The varying line weight is so effective in conveying the nuances of the curves.
Dee, these are just gorgeous! Very different in feel from the last ones you posted (if I remember correctly.) These are almost Rodinesque in their fluid confidence.
wow, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese are really really impressive Dee.
ReplyDeleteWhat is aquarellable?
You're getting a mention on my blog - I've got round to Manet! ;)
Wonderful ... you inspire us all.

ReplyDeletereally lovely. The third one down (or third from the top) is especially nice. Reminds of the Vargas Girls (pin up girls) from the 40s.
